Here is a basic way to prepare your body to get the maximum out of each and every groundstroke:

  1. Unit turn.  Point your head, shoulders, knees and toes out towards the side you want to hit.  Load up your weight on the back foot with a bent knee.
  2. Hold the racquet above your waist supporting it with your non-dominant hand.
  3. Drop the racquet and step straight ahead through the hit.

This puts your body solidly behind the ball for each groundstroke making good tennis as easy as 1-2-3!
